Arundel Cathedral. The cathedral is the venue for our
Spring and Autumn concerts, held in March and November. These are our more formal concerts, when we are
accompanied by an orchestra and joined by professional soloists. This is a glorious venue in which to sing,
with an excellent acoustic. Friends of the Chorale receive free tickets and allocated seats for our concerts
in the cathedral, details are on the Join us page.
Rehearsals. Rehearsals are held at the
Angmering Community Centre,
Foxwood Avenue, Angmering BN16 4FU, every Thursday evenings during term time, starting at 7.30 pm and finishing around 9.30pm. Anyone with an interest in choral music is welcome to come to a rehearsal - either sit
at the back and listen or ask for music and join in. We're a friendly bunch!
The Angmering School. The school is
the venue for two concerts. Our summer concert is in
June, when we perform an evening of light music, with interval refreshments and raffle. In December we have an
evening of Christmas music, when we are joined by choirs from local primary schools. The audience is invited to
join us in the best known carols and there is a raffle and refreshments in the interval.
Out and about. Over the years we have performed in a wide variety of venues, in this country
and abroad. We performed before H M The Queen in the South Bank Centre, under the baton of Sir Karl Jenkins CBE
in Leicester and in a number of London churches as part of the Brandenburg Choral Festival. In New York we premiered
The Armed Man in Carnegie Hall and returned to the Lincoln Centre later. In Europe we were greatly honoured to be
invited in 2014 to join choirs from other countries to celebrate the D-Day anniversary, we have also held concerts
in France, Belgium and the Netherlands.
